Turn on any news channel and it can feel like the world is spiraling. Wars, economic uncertainty, cultural chaos—it's overwhelming. And it causes many of us to wonder: Is this the beginning of the end?
Jesus didn't dodge that fear. He actually leaned into it. In Matthew 24, he names the chaos before it happens—so that when it does, we won't be caught off guard. Notice what he says first: Don't panic. Jesus isn't being naive here. He’s speaking with confidence that only someone who holds the end of the story in his hands could have.
The events Jesus describes aren't signs that God is losing control. They're indicators that something new is being born. History is moving in a new direction. And the one who told us this in advance is the same one who’s coming back to make all things right.
So, you don't have to white-knuckle your way through the headlines—Jesus already read them. He’s not surprised by anything. And it’s all under control.
